DOCTRINE

Corvettes for Christ is not a club but a ministry proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through personal faith in His shed blood on the cross.  Corvettes for Christ believes as follows....

1.  THE SCRIPTURES

We believe in the authority and sufficiancy of the Holy Bible consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments.

2.  THE TRUE GOD 

We believe there is one and only one living and true God, and infinite spirit the maker and supreme ruler of Heaven and earth, holy and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.

3.  THE DEVIL

We believe in the reality and personality of the devil or satan and that he was created by God as an angel but through pride and rebellion he became the enemy of his creator and the ruler of all powers of darkness and is destined to the judgement of an eternity in the Lake of Fire.

4.  THE FALL OF MAN

We believe man was created in innocence but by voluntary transgression Adam fell from his sinless state of which all mankind are now made sinners by nature and choice.  We therefore are all under just condemnation without defense or excuse.  We believe we are born with a sin nature and that we choose to sin as Adam did.  Because of this we are unable to do any good works that would merit eternal life with God, but are under His just condemnation.  The result of this is eternal separation from God and everlasting conscious punishment in the Lake of Fire.  (Hell)

5.  THE VIRGIN BIRTH

We believe that Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit in a miraculous manner to Mary a virgin, as no other man was ever born or can ever be born of woman and that He is both Son of God and God.

6.   THE NEW BIRTH

We believe that in order to be Saved, sinners must be Born Again: that the new birth is a creation in Christ Jesus; that it is instantaneous and not a process; that in the new birth the one dead in sins is made a partaker of the divine nature and receives eternal life.  God declares the Believer righteous upon the basis of the imputed righteousness of Christ; that is bestowed and not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in Christ's shed blood.  The conclusion of righteousness which comes by faith in Christ is eternal life and happiness with the Lord forever.
